What's inside MathQuest Kids
A family catalog of every play mode, math skill, and app feature. Skills adapt to the kid's school grade (Kโ8). Kindergarten through Grade 2 hide Multiply, Divide, and Fractions; higher grades unlock area, perimeter, factors, fraction operations, decimals, volume, coordinates, expressions, and unit conversions.
โจ What's new
๐ฎ Learn & Arcade
The Learn tab is untimed Casual practice. The Arcade tab (to the right of Learn) is for math games. Learn, Number Muncher, Plot Painter, Bond Split, and Mistake Rehab all count correct answers toward today's Quest Chart star. The address bar updates as you move around, so a refresh or a shared link opens the same tab, skill, arcade game, or My World view.
Number Muncher
Open the Arcade tab and tap the Number Muncher cabinet. Guide your hero on a number grid. Press Start, then a 3-2-1 countdown. Tap a tile in a straight line to step one square, then tap your hero (or press Space) to munch matching numbers. Arrow keys also step one square. Dodge the troggle. On most phones the board is a colorful arcade stage; older devices keep the classic grid. Add ?muncher=dom to the URL if you want the classic board. When the round ends, a Game Over screen shows your score and a New Round button. More arcade games will be added to this tab later.
Plot Painter
Grade 3 and up (same as Learn Area). Open Arcade and tap Plot Painter. Press Start, then a 3-2-1 countdown. The rule bar shows a target such as Area = 12. Tap or slide across unit squares to paint a connected shape, then tap Confirm โ matching while you paint does not score. Grade 4+ sometimes asks for a length ร width rectangle. Extra squares stay erasable until Confirm; a wrong area costs a life only then. Correct paints count toward today's Quest Chart star. Hidden for Kโ2 profiles.
Bond Split
Kindergarten through Grade 3 (same as Learn Number Bonds). Open Arcade and tap Bond Split. Press Start, then a 3-2-1 countdown. The rule bar names the whole and a called part. Kโ1 gets one cube train of 5โ10 โ split so one pile matches the called part. G2โ3 uses the same SPLIT on ten-rods (10 rods = 100), never a 70-token or 100-cube fill. The break is the bond: no pouring, no Confirm quiz. A wrong gap costs a life and the train snaps back. Correct splits count toward today's Quest Chart star. Hidden when Learn cannot generate Bonds (G4+).
๐ Math skills
Learn uses a two-level picker: a topic category, then a skill. Mixed Mix! draws from the age-appropriate pool, including enrichment skills.

Kids type on the on-screen keypad or tap multiple-choice bubbles. Some skills (shapes, even/odd, patterns) prefer choice automatically.
๐ก Visual Helper
Tap the lightbulb Help / ? control on a problem to open ten-frames, number-line arcs, and equal groups for that question. Settings can keep counting dots on all the time for younger learners. Many skills also draw their own picture on the card: analog clocks, coins, fraction bars, 2D/3D shapes, pictographs, area and perimeter grids, unit-cube prisms, coordinate planes, decimal grids, integer number lines, and centimeter rulers (including ribbons that do not start at zero).

A star for showing up โ a little math most days, then a star on the month. It is the wall calendar, not the fire streak.

- Wrong answers still teach; they just don't fill the star.
- The star is sticky. Extra practice after that is extra credit.
- Settings can override today's goal and mark rest days (rest days skip the streak; they don't break it).

Optional rewards world โ on by default, and can be turned off in Settings. Kids earn coins from math, then dress up a hero and decorate a room.

Hair, face, outfits (top + bottom + shoes), hats, capes, props, companion pets, and color dyes. Coins come from practice.

A room to furnish: store, arrange furniture, day/sunset/night lighting, jukebox, nap, math streak board, and a pet companion.
